The BMI Conference Centre, located within the Institute, offers meeting facilities for a host of organisations, mostly in the medical and healthcare world. The Institute also houses the Regional Office of the British Medical Association, the offices of the Birmingham Local Medical Committee, Palm Training and the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy.
An ambitious refurbishment programme has been undertaken to bring the BMI’s facilities up to date and to provide for the changing needs of postgraduate medical education. Internally, the transformation includes contemporary decoration, audio-visual equipment, signage and lighting, a modernised bar area and an updated seasonal menu. Outside, the large car park has been resurfaced and the area landscaped.
The Institute is governed by an elected Council led by its President and the Administrator, Mrs Elaine Simpson, has over twenty five years experience at the Institute.
The BMI Conference Centre offers a relaxed and professional setting, which can be adapted to any style of meeting and business activity. From small group training sessions to conferences up to 120 participants, it has rooms designed to meet almost every need. Large conferences can be accommodated with up to four break-out rooms. All the meeting rooms in the Centre have been fitted with modern equipment with digital projectors or plasma screens. The Conference Centre also has its own large free car park.
The BMI Conference Centre’s dedicated conference team are always on hand to assist you with all your needs. For further details, including our current room hire charges, catering costs and conditions of hire, please email Mrs Elaine Simpson on E.Simpson@bmedi.org.uk or telephone 0121-454-5007.
